Permanently disposing of collections can be a daunting and complex process. This hour-long workshop will cover the best practices and strategies related to the practice of deaccessioning in small institutions. Participants will receive guidelines and resources that will help facilitate a process that will benefit their organization as well as maintain all legal and ethical obligations.  

We will follow up this event with a virtual Conversation with Colleagues on December 16th at 12:00pm. All those who register for the deaccessioning webinar, including Professional Affiliate members, Emerging Professionals and Students, Friends or those curious about membership are invited to attend.

Pre-registration is required and a Zoom link for the meeting will be sent closer to the event date.

The cost of the virtual workshop is as follows:

• free for CCCA Emerging Professional and Student Members

• $10 for CCCA Professional Affiliate Members and Friends

• $15 for all others who wish to attend
