Our Mission

Collections Care and Conservation Alliance provides information and education to individuals and entities caring for art, artifacts, historical records, and other collections, including cultural institutions, artists, private collectors, and municipalities to help improve collections care through a network of conservation and preservation professionals.

Our Organization

CCCA is registered as a domestic non-profit corporation in the State of Vermont. You can find a copy of our bylaws here. Our board of directors is comprised of up to 11 members from conservation, archives, museum, and collections management professions (bios of current directors here).

  • Darlene Bialowski, President (Fine and Decorative Arts Appraiser and Contract Registrar)

  • Carolyn Frisa, Vice President (Paper Conservator in Private Practice)

  • Erica Donnis, Secretary (Congressional Papers Archivist and Associate Professor at the University of Vermont)

  • Leslie Rowell, Treasurer (Freelance Archivist)

  • Kelly Bartlett (Oral History Intern at Champlain College)

  • Eileen Corcoran (Director of Service & Outreach at Vermont Historical Society)

  • Kristie Couser (Assistant Registrar at Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth College)

  • Rodney Obien (Associate Professor and Head of Special Collections & Archives at Keene State College)

  • Rachel Onuf (Vermont Historical Records Program Director, Vermont State Archives & Records Administration)

CCCA was founded in 2019. In addition to several of the present board members, the following were instrumental in the founding of the organization:
