Measure Twice, Move Once
Measure Twice, Move Once
April 29, 2026
A Zoom link to the workshop will be emailed to participants closer to the meeting date.
Moving museum or archival collections can be stressful, whether it is a single item or a more involved project. Want to know how to correctly move a piece of ceramics or glass, especially those with handles? How about a good strategy for removing something from the wall? What about larger-scale moves to make way for construction, or to transport collections to a different facility? The presenters of this virtual webinar will discuss safe techniques for handling and moving a variety of media, provide strategies for more complicated moves involving oversized items or large amounts of objects or records, and share case studies from their own experience.
