Do you have awkwardly sized historical materials you don’t know how to store? Have you developed creative ways of providing safe storage while allowing easy access to your collection? Are you curious to see how other repositories are storing their odd-sized materials?
If you answered YES to any of the above, please join us for a FREE workshop at the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historic Park in Woodstock, Vermont on Tuesday, June 4.
Paper conservator (and CCCA Vice President) Carolyn Frisa will present different ways to store oversized and oddly shaped materials. The focus will be on various types of paper-based materials, but feel free to bring your questions about other types of objects in your collection as well.
If you share photos of the materials you find challenging to store in advance, Carolyn can incorporate suggestions for storing those items into her presentation. After the presentation, museum staff will provide behind-the-scenes tours of storage areas at both Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller NHP and the Woodstock Foundation, located across the street at Billings Farm & Museum.
